Their website describes the area: “The Lviv region has seen a boom in winter sports in recent years, with a number of international-quality ski resorts appearing within a two-hour drive of the city. Full equipment rental is available for any interested weekenders.”
They are referring to Eagle Valley, the only world class ski apartment hotel opening within convenient distance of Lviv!
Strong rental demand
The railway passes through Slavsk and road from Lviv has been resurfaced for much of its route. Ukrainians pour into Slavsk in their thousands, for the skiing and in summer, to enjoy the beautiful Carpathian mountains. 50,000 in one week-end is possible. Rental rates are high and it’s almost impossible to find accommodation in peak season. Eagle Valley with it far superior facilities to anything in the region will dominate the rental market. Its mix of conventional apartments and stay-by-night hotel studios is ideal to take the cream of this rental demand.
The development is only 30 kilomtres from Poland and near to no less than three other EU countires, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary. Add visits by these nationalities and it all adds up to a lot of demand funnelling into a small, underdeveloped area. A rental pool option is available, administered from an office in the building.
